CASTAS
Fernão Pires (50%) and Arinto (50%)
TERROIR AND VITICULTURE
The Altas Quintas vineyards are located in a very special terroir. They are located at an altitude of 600 metres, on a plateau that develops in a unique way, in the middle of the Serra de São Mamede. The altitude, the mesoclimate conditions in this area and the soils with medium production potential make this location so special. The vineyard is managed under an integrated protection programme.
The Fernão Pires and Arinto grapes with the best freshness profile were hand-picked into 14kg boxes during September. They were quickly transported to the winery. The bunches and berries were sorted at the entrance to the winery.
VINIFICATION
Fermentation took place at 14ºC in a stainless steel tank, followed by ageing on fine lees with battonage for 90 days. The wine was bottled at the beginning of 2023 in order to preserve all its irreverence and freshness.
ENOLOGY
